Sarah Willard
Social Media Manager
Sarah Willard is a third-year medical student at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine at Seton Hill Campus. She completed her undergraduate degree in Nutrition at the University of Maryland College Park and earned her Masters of Science degree in Dietetics from University of Rhode Island. She is also a board-certified dietitian.
She currently serves as the National Vice President of the Student American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics (SAOAO) and was named the 2025 Student Doctor of the Year for LECOM Seton Hill. She also served as the 2024 National Membership Chair of SAOAO, the 2023 President of the LECOM Orthopedic Surgery club and as the Orthopedic Surgery chair of ACOS-MSS at LECOM Seton Hill. In 2023, she was a Cleveland Clinic summer research fellow and has continued to promote osteopathic orthopedic research excellence in her current role on the REAM Ortho Student Advisory Board.
She is passionate about kinesthetic learning, surgical education opportunities for osteopathic students, and mentoring medical students interested in Orthopedic Surgery. Her research interests include osteopathic orthopedic match trends, orthopedic trauma, adult reconstruction, rural healthcare disparities, military service-related injuries, and women's representation in orthopedic surgery. In her free time, she enjoys homestead farming, weightlifting, meat processing, cooking, gardening, completing home-improvement projects, and spending time with her husband and three children.
