Jignesh Patel, DO

Dr. Jignesh Patel is the Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program Director for OhioHealth and Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by residency at Michigan State University-Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital.  His fellowship was completed in Adult Reconstruction at Desert Orthopedic Center, Las Vegas, Nevada. Dr. Patel has research interest in hip and knee replacement, orthopedic trauma, value-based science, and prevention of infection. He sits on the Editorial Board for the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, the Peer-Review Committee for OhioHealthy, and the Surgical Clinical Guidance Committee for OhioHealth. He has a passion for mentorship of medical students and residents as well as educating patients and families regarding orthopedic treatment options and surgery. In his free time, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.  He also enjoys playing guitar and golf.
