Sarah Willard

MS-3

Sarah Willard is a third-year medical student at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine at Seton Hill Campus. She completed her undergraduate degree in Nutrition at the University of Maryland College Park and earned her Masters of Science degree in Dietetics from University of Rhode Island. She is also a board-certified dietitian.


She currently serves as the National Membership Chair of the Student American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics (SAOAO) and as a blood donation ambassador for the American Red Cross. She also promotes osteopaths in medicine as the Social Media Intern for MatchPal Medical Residency Advising. In 2023, she was a Cleveland Clinic summer research fellow. She also served as the President of the LECOM Orthopedic Surgery club and as the Orthopedic Surgery chair of ACOS-MSS at LECOM.


She is passionate about kinesthetic learning, surgical education opportunities for osteopathic students, and mentoring medical students interested in Orthopedic Surgery. Her research interests include orthopedic trauma, adult reconstruction, rural healthcare disparities, military service-related injuries, and women's representation in orthopedic surgery. In her free time, she enjoys homestead farming, weightlifting, hunting, fishing, meat processing, cooking, gardening, completing home-improvement projects, and spending time with her husband and three children.
